Ovelle can read your period dates from Apple Health, or you can add them yourself. Your plan and nudges follow your phase. PCOS cycles are often irregular, so when Ovelle has to estimate, it says so.

Menstrual

Your period. Log it once, or let Apple Health keep it up to date.

Follicular

The days after your period, when many people notice their energy picking up.

Ovulatory

Mid-cycle. Your plan sticks to the steady-plate basics.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Ovelle?

Ovelle is an iPhone app that helps people with PCOS eat for steadier energy. You snap a photo of your meal, Ovelle suggests one simple swap, and it builds a 7-day meal plan around insulin resistance and your cycle.

Is Ovelle a PCOS diet?

Not a restrictive one. No food is off-limits and there’s no calorie counting. Ovelle nudges you towards a steady plate: some protein, some fibre and carbs in proportion, which is the approach most often recommended for insulin resistance.

How does the meal photo check work?

Take a photo of your plate. An AI model reads the food and estimates whether protein, fibre and carbs look low, some or high, then suggests one swap if it would help. It’s an estimate to guide you, not a nutritional measurement.

Your photo is sent securely for analysis and stored privately with your meal. How we handle meal photos.

Do I need Apple Health to use Ovelle?

No. Ovelle can read your period dates from Apple Health if you allow it, or you can enter your last period yourself.

Does Ovelle work for vegetarians?

Yes. Your plan can be vegetarian, halal, dairy-free or gluten-free, and you can tell Ovelle which foods you dislike and how long you want to cook on weekdays.

Does Ovelle replace my GP or dietitian?

No. Ovelle helps with food and patterns. It does not diagnose or treat any medical condition. Talk to your GP if your periods stop for three months or more, if symptoms change suddenly, or if you’re thinking about pregnancy.

How much does Ovelle cost?

Ovelle is free to download. The full plan needs a subscription. You’ll see the price for your country in the app before you pay, and you can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
