How can we help?

Quick answers below. If you’re stuck, email us. A real person reads every message, usually within two working days.

Contact us

For help, feedback, billing questions or privacy requests. It helps to include your iPhone model, iOS version and the Ovelle version (at the bottom of Settings).

cihat@karaboga.dev

Feeling unwell? Ovelle can’t give medical advice. Contact your GP or pharmacist. In the UK you can call NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999 (UK) or 000 (Australia).

Meal photos

Ovelle couldn’t read my meal photo. What can I do?

Try again with more light and the whole plate inside the circle, shot from above. You can also pick the meal from your plan or from a list instead.

The camera isn’t working

Ovelle needs camera access to read your plate. Open the Settings app, scroll to Ovelle and turn on Camera. You can also choose a photo from your library or pick the meal from a list.

How accurate is the photo check?

It’s an estimate. Ovelle looks at what’s on the plate and says whether protein, fibre and carbs look low, some or high. It doesn’t weigh food or count calories, and it can get things wrong, especially with sauces and mixed dishes. If you have food allergies, always check ingredients yourself.

I’m offline. Will I lose my check-in?

No. Check-ins save on your phone, and Ovelle reads your meal photos as soon as you’re back online.

Cycle & Apple Health

How do I connect Apple Health?

Open the Health app, tap your profile picture, go to Apps, then Ovelle, and turn on Cycle Tracking. Ovelle only reads your period dates. It never writes to Apple Health.

I don’t use Apple Health

That’s fine. In Ovelle, go to Settings → Cycle data and enter the first day of your last period. You can update it whenever you like.

My cycle phase looks wrong

PCOS cycles are often irregular, so when Ovelle doesn’t have enough dates it estimates, and it tells you when it’s estimating. Adding your latest period start date in Settings → Cycle data puts it right.

Your plan

How do I change how I eat, dislikes or cooking time?

Tap the preferences icon at the top of Plan, or go to Settings → How you eat. Changes update your plan from tomorrow.

Can I swap a meal I don’t fancy?

Yes. Tap Swap this meal on any meal in your plan. Your shopping list updates too.

How do I change or turn off notifications?

Go to Settings → Notifications to turn each nudge on or off and set quiet hours. We never send “you missed” messages.

Subscriptions & billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions → Ovelle, and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.

How do I get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I paid but Ovelle still shows the plans screen

Tap Restore purchases on the plans screen or in Settings. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

What happens when my subscription ends?

Your plan pauses. Everything you’ve logged stays in the app and you can still read it. Meal snaps, new weekly plans and fresh insights come back when you rejoin.

Your data

How do I export my data?

In Ovelle, go to Settings → Privacy → Export my data. You can also email us and we’ll send you a copy.

How do I delete my data or my account?

In Ovelle, go to Settings → Privacy → Delete my data. This removes your meals, meal photos, check-ins, cycle dates and profile from our servers. You can also email cihat@karaboga.dev from any address. Tell us it’s about Ovelle and we’ll confirm when it’s done.

Deleting your data doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel that in your iPhone’s Settings as well.

Moving to a new iPhone

Sign in on your new iPhone with the same Apple ID or email you used before, and your data comes with you. Without sign-in, your data belongs to the install it was created on.
