These terms apply when you use the Ovelle app (“Ovelle: PCOS Diet Tracker”) and this website. Ovelle is made by Cihat Karaboğa, Istanbul, Türkiye (“we”, “us”). By using Ovelle you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these terms apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Not medical advice
Ovelle is a food and wellbeing app. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, including PCOS, and it is not a medical device. Its suggestions are general information, not personal medical or dietetic advice.
- Talk to your GP or a registered dietitian before making big changes to how you eat, especially if you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, breastfeeding, have diabetes, have or have had an eating disorder, or take medication such as metformin or insulin.
- See your GP if your periods stop for three months or more, if your symptoms change suddenly, or if you’re worried about your health. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
- Never ignore professional advice or delay getting it because of something in Ovelle.
2. Photo checks and plans are estimates
Ovelle uses AI to read meal photos and estimate protein, fibre and carbs. These estimates can be wrong, particularly for mixed dishes, sauces and drinks. Cycle phases are estimated from the dates you give, and PCOS cycles are often irregular.
Allergies and intolerances: Ovelle does not check for allergens. Always read ingredient labels and check recipes yourself. Don’t rely on Ovelle to keep you safe from foods you must avoid.
3. Using Ovelle
- You must be at least 16 to use Ovelle.
- Use Ovelle only for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Don’t misuse it: no reverse engineering, overloading our servers, scraping, or uploading anything unlawful or anyone else’s private images.
- You’re responsible for keeping your iPhone and Apple ID secure.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Ovelle is free to download. Some features, such as meal photo checks, new weekly plans and fresh insights, need a paid subscription or a one-time purchase.
- Plans and prices. We may offer weekly and yearly subscriptions, a one-time lifetime purchase, and occasional introductory offers. The price and billing period for your country are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Introductory offers. If an offer includes a discounted first period, the subscription renews at the standard price afterwards unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the offer ends.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds, under Apple’s policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.
- When a subscription ends. Your plan pauses. What you’ve logged stays readable in the app until you delete it.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires, ask for your agreement.
5. Your content
Your meal photos, check-ins and other entries stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Ovelle to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete them.
6. Our content
Ovelle’s design, lessons, recipes, text and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them within the app for your own personal use, but you may not copy, sell or redistribute them.
7. Changes to Ovelle
We keep improving Ovelle, so features may change. We’ll try to keep it available, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If we ever shut Ovelle down, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
8. Ending these terms
You can stop using Ovelle at any time and delete your data from Settings → Privacy. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
9. Our responsibility to you
We provide Ovelle with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on Ovelle instead of professional advice, from estimates being inaccurate, or that were not reasonably foreseeable. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to the amount you paid for Ovelle in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. It also doesn’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. If you live in the UK, the EU or Australia, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Ovelle after that means you accept the new terms.
